I'd worry anything liquid might get in the egg. What about a bit of cellophane/saran wrap, pulled tight with the edges glued on with the skin glue?

Do you have some clear packing tape or scotch tape? You might be able to use the tape to pull the shell back into position, then seal the edges? I'm not sure if that made sense.

Got my eggs in today. Several were broken, just absolutely smashed. Most made it just fine though. I do have this Svarthona egg that is cracked, but the membrane is intact. I think I'm going to try incubating it.

I've successfully hatched eggs that were as cracked as that but had the membrane still intact. I just painted a bit of silicone sealant (first thing I had to hand) over the top and waited a few minutes for the worst of the curing fumes smell to go before putting it back in the incubator.

If the egg came to you like that it will've had longer for bacteria etc to get inside the shell and potentially cause problems though.

When I first saw the egg my DIY brain said, "A little spackle and a light sanding, it'll look great" but I wasn't gonna say it outloud until you said 'silicone sealant'

If it's just a hairline crack I know people use things like candle wax or nail varnish, but I think the silicone is actually a better choice for a proper dent like this.

All is going well here! Humidity and temperature are holding steady (or so the display says haha). My patience, not so much! I am with you, waiting to candle!! Haha
