You don't need this for young chicks. As long as the latecomer is completely dry it can go in with the othersView attachment 4242738one egg hatched 2 days late, this is why I use a wire basket so they get a change for no touch greeting.

Knowing that you had a late hatcher makes me less anxious about the ones still in the incubator. For me today is technically hatch day I just had a few overachievers, lol.Better safe than sorry, and it is not forever. It is also good for weaker chicks..
