Fine for short periods if it's not windy and rainy. Keep an eye on them and bring them back inside to warm up when they start standing fluffed up or huddling into each other and making "too cold" peeps.Would it be a terrible idea to take the chicks out 1-2 at a time in 51f weather to take some fall pics?
All his offspring should be barred.Yeswell I did. He was one of the two roosters. No female barred rock. I know the white spots on heads can mean males but idk how it works with all the mixed breeds.
I don't think it would be bad. But if your worried you can take a background like I did and tape some leaves to it, did that with chicks and my adult birds.Would it be a terrible idea to take the chicks out 1-2 at a time in 51f weather to take some fall pics?

That's actually good news, that would've been a male heavy hatch otherwise.Fine for short periods if it's not windy and rainy. Keep an eye on them and bring them back inside to warm up when they start standing fluffed up or huddling into each other and making "too cold" peeps.

If you'd used a non-barred rooster over a barred hen, only the males would be barred and have the head spot when they hatch.
