Looks like they hatched last night or this morning. One failed to make it out of the egg, two others didn't pip. Went into the pen and looked around found two babies that had gotten lost. Put them back with mama Weirdo.

As far as I know. She was given to me a few months ago with some other hens. They were apparently free ranged in a large flock. Are these her first chicks?
I had my first broody nearly 9 weeks ago, her first clutch of chicks, and she's still taking care of them. I keep hoping she'll wean them, but they still follow her around and beg to be fed and sleep under wing on the roost. As far as I know. She was given to me a few months ago with some other hens. Is that first chick Weirdo's baby? They look the exact same, lol.Looks like they hatched last night or this morning. One failed to make it out of the egg, two others didn't pip. Unfortunately not. I can't have roosters in city limits. These are the babies from the eggs I ordered. It it either a svarthona or a fibrorudd. I wish I could get some babies from her. She is so unique lookingIs that first chick Weirdo's baby? They look the exact same, lol.
I’m surprised you were able to get rid of them lol I said I would get rid of some and didn’t. I guess room for more for you nowI sold mine along w 6 Black Sexlink pullets
i love that! Mine are definitely getting their little wings and some tiny tail feathers. I am excited to be able to see more of what they look like now. Most of mine are still identical, guess my barred rock was a busy manMine have little wings already! It's sad to see them grow so fast but at least I know that means they're healthy and happy!
They really do change so much in a day! Im thankful for them getting wings and making them look a little different hahah. Half of mine are still identical. My first chickens I got I wasn’t working and spent all my free time staring at the brooder and holding them. I haven’t been around this group much at all, they’re so skittish! I try to interact with them when I can so I’m hoping they will warm up to me.Haha, yeah. Mine are feathering a lot slower than my first batch of 2 chickies though. I'm not sure if I'm hallucinating. Maybe when I get home they will be caught up with last months batch, it's been 24 hours since I've checked on them. They literally look different every day!
