Mine are doing well too. I will let them be with the population soon.

Love seeing how much they have grown. They are so beautiful.15 week 6 day update!
Beth is still tiny, and I think she's even smaller than her mom was at her age. And it's definitely a she as she has no comb development! Woohoo!
View attachment 4299352the twins: cupcake is growing a lot of rooster feathers and Muffin is slowly but surely catching up. These 2 especially suffered from some frostbite on their toes. I was panicking for so long not knowing why until I realized that they have a round roosting bar, and the tips of their toes are exposed when roosting. The poor things stayed in the coop all day for like 2 weeks straight only going out occasionally to eat. When I realized the roost was the problem I immediately went out and got them a 2x4. They seem to have gotten a lot better since then. I kicked them out of the coop once I replaced the roost and they've been staying out here with the other chickens during the day. They're not in pain anymore but it's sad that their blackened toenails ,won't grow back.View attachment 4299353View attachment 4299354Here's peach. He also had a bit of frostbite, but it's much better than Cupcake and Muffin. He is also growing some nice feathers. View attachment 4299355Heres Muffin inspecting the camera. Her little "Afro" is still the same! LolBed head Beth.socute
I'm glad Beth turned out to be a she. I know you were concerned for a while there. Even though in the book, she was the March sister who died, your little chicken seems to be growing along quite well. Sorry Meg, Jo, and Amy didn't hatch for you.Her little "Afro" is still the same! Lol
The barred gang is all doing well!! Of the 19 hatched I chose to keep 15. 2 males and 13 females. Unfortunately I lost one of my cockerels last month to a hawk. It was my favorite too I had just named him and bragged on how much I liked him!! Im struggling naming the rest as they all look the same. They took the transition into the big girl coop well and have done well with handling the long drawn out cold we’ve had.
