I may need to be corrected, but read, or heard somewhere in the past,,,,, Octoberfest is celebrated BEFORE OCTOBER ARRIVES. At least in the original country. I believe that is Germany.

You're correct. It was originally a wedding feast for a royal couple, but that's all I remember.
