Phil is a big celebrity, but he isn't in every movie. He's very selective in his roles. For example, he was Arnold's stunt double in Terminator.

I can understand all of that. But you said he was in the greatest movie ever made, we all know that was "The Christmas Story"....Thus I had to ask...

Was Phil the guy playing the role of Santa?

Punxsutawney Phil is central to one of the greatest movies ever- Groundhog Day.

I think the only reason that he wasn't in that movie is that he's been typecast as a rodent, which limits the roles that people will consider him for.

I think they should cast a Panda in the role of Phil this next spring, They are so much cooler than a dirty smelly ground hog.....Besides groundhogs make great target practice why waste one in a starring role..
