My father never once called my mother by name because he couldn’t remember it. There were seven of us children, and he had to go through all of our names, and the dog’s, just to get ours. You better not correct him either!

That's what my grandpa used to do too. With me being one of the youngest grandkids, I knew if he made it all the way to my name I was in hot water!

My father couldn't remember our phone no.(just a land line) for some 40 years.We had it written in bold on the phone. Still couldn't do it. I even remember the phone number of our first house when I was about 5. The teacher would holler if you forgot it or your address. Didn't like that.
