My daughter just returned home from Michigan to the 'bloom' of the Live Oak trees.
She noted that by her the trees turn orange in the fall and here they turn yellow in the spring.

I know the "bloom" you're referring to, we've lived among to Live Oaks down in FL. In KS it was the wheat fields and in WY it was the pines. It seems everywhere has something that's going to get you!
