I remember being able to get in and sit there working on the spark plugs and whatnot. Nowadays a person can't see the engine,much less work on it without a computer.

Yup there used to be enough room in there to cook a whole roast beef dinner on top of the air filter or some such and you could hide a body in there too if you needed to (but don't ask me how I know I swear I'm divorced). Now there's barely room for a mouse to make a decent nest on a cold night.
