Happy Birthday to my girlfriend.

So many! Do they normally live in groups? I've only ever seen one at a time.

That reminds me of a story a friend of mine told me. Her son was an undergrad at the University of Arizona in Tucson. There is BLM land (public lands) around Tucson and he went hiking and camping on them with some of his friends.

On his first night out he called his parents around 2AM sounding utterly terrified. He said a bunch of people were sneaking around their tents, going through their stuff and probably stealing it. He and his friends were too scared to confront them (there's a criminal element in Tucson so this was probably a wise decision). He just wanted his parents to come and take him and his friends home.

His parents said okay and drove out to where he was camping. When they saw who was in the camp, they couldn't stop laughing. It was a herd of cattle that had wandered into their camp site. BLM land is used for grazing, too. 😄
