There's some thinking behind it. I like my chickens. They're not all fun and games though, and I don't know if I'd be able to care for them as well I'd like without some help.A cat?![]()

Dogs definitely do require more work, but it’s all so rewarding. Cats… are cats. Brats that do that they wanna do when they wanna do it. They’ll be pet… on their terms. There is also absolutely nowhere that is safe from them. You’ve been nurturing flowers for the past four weeks and need to bring them in out of the freeze and put them on the fridge thinking they’ll be safe? Nope they’re on the fridge for about 30 minutes and you come back and they’re destroyed with the cat sitting there looking for a pleased with itself (speaking from experience here). Dog? Ya put them on the fridge (or counter with me cause my dog knows better) and go in your merry way with no worries. Also… cat does something you don’t like? Well forget about fixing it. I don’t know who says they have success the spray bottle, but it don’t work. They just wait till you turn your back and they’re doing it again. Or just do it right in front of your face. Dog? They understand no means no. I could go on and on here folks but I’ll shut up now.Dogs are cool and all, but I just can't see myself with a dog, especially a really "hands-on" dog. Cats seem to be reasonable. I know from real-life experience their "hands-on" behavior is something I enjoy, and they don't look like an absolute hassle to care for.
So sweetObviously I wouldn't just buy a pet without seriously researching the animal in question. I didn't buy the chickens here, and knowing what I know I wouldn't get more for myself in the future unless I have a way to ensure they're taken good care of.
Ooo that would be coolmaybe this should be its own seperate thread, a "you need a pet" thread.
I did not start this just. I just jumped in at the mention of some poor soul about to destroy their lives with a catWell here you go, stop going off topic:
I tend to prefer cats because of that weird "pets on their terms" thing. The neighbor's cat didn't really let anyone touch him unless he wanted it.I did not start this just. I just jumped in at the mention of some poor soul about to destroy their lives with a cat![]()
