That's what I thought, but looking closer, the pink looks like a pink dogwood. I'm not sure the bark is right though. Maybe a pink Bradford pair or a Jane magnolia?

I agree, it's not a mimosa. The blossoms do not have that "fan" appearance that mimosas have. Wish we could get a close-up. Have never seen a pink Bradford pear, is there such a thing?

My knee-jerk response was magnolia. Grain of salt, I wouldn't know a magnolia from a morning glory so feel free to ignore me
