It showed up last thanksgiving (Anaheim, CA) and has been roosting up in our front tree. No one knows where it came from and it does not look like any rooster I've ever seen. It has virtually no comb and is absolutely bare-breasted down to where chest meets wings with red skin on neck and chest and long dark tail feathers. Will try to get pic of it to attach. It has no sores and appears healthy but is definitely not overfed as it lives on pickings from local lawns and gardens only as far as I know. If this were my home, I would feed it but people here want it to go away, not feed it. Some hate that it crows every am and don't want to put up with it anymore. City (don't trust them anyway) didn't respond to their calls to capture it. It actually comes when I call it and sneak food to it! Could this be a fighting rooster? WOULD LOVE TO FIND IT A NICE HOME!!!
