Cabbage!

My chicks are 2 weeks old and today they got their first taste of cabbage! I chopped it really fine and sprinkled a little of their crumbles and some chick grit on top. At first they were scared (which I found hilarious), but it seems like that feeling disappeared quickly lol.

What should they try next?

I give our 23 hens and pullets what is left after my DW cuts the cabbage heads off. They love cabbage! They will eat it down to a nub!

What else do they like? I'm thinking about doing a little bell pepper next week or some fresh herbs

Mine are older, but they have always loved grapes the most of anything. But will also happily eat cabbage, apple, various greens from outside. They even ate a whole pumpkin after I scuffed it up a bit for them.

oooh, never given mine cabbage, they love watermelon though an leftover pancakes/pikelites!

Give them a lump of turf if you haven't already, and make grit available for them to take as they need rather than just scattering it on their food.
