We have 4 new chicks, well, adolescents now. They’re supposed to be 2 Araucanas and 2 Rhode Island Reds. We’re not sure what we have right now but they are so much fun and funny it doesn’t matter.
We’ve had Chickens before and learned the hard way to not let them free range here in the Sierra Nevada foothills. One day we were sitting by the barn watching our chickens roam and two foxes came up the ravine and took 2 chicks. The rest died of old age in their fortress.
