calbration of thermometer

Do you mean the hygrometer, which is used to check the humidity?

I don't know how to calibrate a thermometer unless you know of a place where you absolutely know what the temp is.

To calibrate a hygrometer you put 1/2 cup of salt mixed with some water so it looks like a slushie in a ziplock bag with the hygrometer for 24 hours and it should read 75%. Don't let the hygrometer touch the salt/water mixture.

What we did to "calibrate the thermometer " that came with our incubator is set it on top of our AC thermastat. It read 2 degrees cooler than our AC thermastate read so when we put it in the incubator we adjusted the tempature to where the thermometer read 102 degrees. I'm not sure if that is right or not. This is our first hatch, today is day 22 and so far 2 have hatched today and several more are pipping. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if the temp is right or not. I did the test on my hydrometer 2 of they exactly. They were pretty much right on. I just didnt have a good hatch and I wonder if it was temp or humidity.
