Calcium for Egg Bound Hen

I just pull out the rubber plug and syringe it up without a needle. It is the best for getting an egg moving that is stuck.
What do you mean by a stalled crop?

It's just inside her vent. I can make out the outline of the egg from outside her vent and then on internal exam, it's just inside the vent. So it's not sticking out. She's never really seemed to be trying to push.

I really hope that she passes the egg. Sitting on a warm towel in a warm humid room could be helpful.
Thank you. Same here. It's almost like she's just expecting it to fall out. This is the oddest case of egg binding, but there is definitely an egg right at her vent. I made a nice nest for her with a damp towel on a heating pad and she moves away from it. Only a very small amount of fecal matter is moving and massaging her abdomen is what helps produce this. I think I'm going to try a warm soak with a long abdomen massage. I've tried coconut oil. The egg does look big for a bantam hen. I'm thinking I'll break it if I can get the egg exposed and she's not pushing it out. I did go by TSC and pick up the calcium gluconate but decided to give her a whole calcium citrate tablet first this evening. I only did a half a tablet twice yesterday but then I started wondering if it's even getting absorbed just sitting in her crop. Should I also try the calcium gluc?

The calcium gluconate is the fastest and was rec by a vet.

Thank you. I'll try it. I'm willing to try anything at this point. We massaged her abdomen and tried to help with moving the egg for a long time last night but it's like she's unable to even help push for some reason. She ended up acting like she hated us touching her last night, so I decided to pray over her and see if the massage helped and let her rest last night in a nice clean warm nest. Being a bantam makes it more difficult working back there. I'll give her this calcium in the next few minutes. Thanks again!
