Unless she had each rabbit in some kind of bunny straightjacket, this is impossible. Rabbits eat their cecal pellets directly from the anus as they are passed, so if the rabbit can reach its tail, it is eating cecotropes (a rabbit often doesn't eat them all, but just because you see some on the floor under the cage, that doesn't mean the rabbit isn't eating any.)

Shoot!! I just fed my meat rabbits plain old rabbit pellets and they plumped up just fine. Calf Manna is a good feed. I have known people to use it to condition show rabbits and to give to nursing mothers. You don't use very much.

I trust you. She was ... strange... and may have been misinforming me. Rabbits are a step above my capabilities.
