Calibrating hygrometer***HELP***

I bought an analouge type hygrometer from the reptile dept at petsmart . when I bought it I looked for the one that read 48-50%. the A/C for buildings are designed to keep the building @50-55% RH Then I bought one for $8 @ wally world they read the same the analouge one changes quicker then the digital is all
