Calibrating the themometer and hygrometer...how?

Can someone explain or give me a link on how to calibrate my themometer and hygrometer i know it involves salt and a bag

For thermometer Is glass half water and rest with ice.. With probe resting in the ice/water should read 32 degrees exact!
sorry dont know about hydrometer.. Shocked no one else has answered you yet...
