I have a calico satin hen that I plan to hatch some eggs from next year. I have 2, maybe 4, silkie rooster to choose from for her.

I have a partridge satin and a sort of blue silkie that I know are roosters. The 2 that may be roosters but are unknown as of right now are a partridge silkie and a black silkie.

Would any of these pairings give me a calico? I know you should breed the same color to the same color, but I hatched these out of a variety of pens from a breeder and don't have the option of a calico roo. What would be the best pairing for her?

I raise silkies, but no calico. My understanding is a calico comes from black, white, and paint genes. What's your partridge coloring? I'd be tempted to try partridge first, depending, then black.

Hello, I breed calico silkies! I would say your best option is to breed her with your partridge silkie. You could try to breed her with the black rooster, but I've learned that the black gene is very strong in silkies.

This is the partridge that I know for sure is a rooster that I'm going to use. I have 2 more partridge that I think are hens, but only time will tell. They are a much better quality than this one.

I added a picture of the calico hen aswell

Those aren't silkies. If they came from the same flock, they might be satins, but they're not silkied
