Hi I live in Davis CA and was lucky enough to have my broody hen raise eight healthy chicks up from beautiful blue & olive EEx farm eggs. I got five pullets and three...handsome cockerels
So if you're looking for a PET rooster (ie not chicken snacks), consider these fellows. They will come to the treat call, eat out of your hand and are gentle, but they're not trained to be lap chickens...they're only two months old, so they're still pretty trainable. I vaccinated them for Mareks on day one and they have no health problems that I can see. I'm hoping to find them all good homes
, so feel free to ask for more photos or any questions. I like these guys.
Big Boy: Cuckoo-Marans x EE (huge compared to siblings)
Percy: EE with cheek tufts
Sam: EE without cheek tufts
