It was 97° and 8% humidity today. In February. This does not bode well. Last year our first 90°+ temp was 94° in March.

The chickens get ice in their waterers when it goes past 80° and ice water foot baths as soon as it hits 90°.

Things are browning up fast. There aren't many greens left to harvest from our yard. We had a record number of dandelions this year which the flock loved.

So begins our annual hibernation. Stuck indoors until November 1st... just 246 days to go.

And I can leave the ducklings in the outside chick-room overnight. Which is also nice, because they're getting big and messy
