Well, I haven't ordered from there before, but I do know most of their "rare breeds" are common and there are at least 2 mutts there

They charge $134 for a day old Ayam Cemani. That's crazy! They also list silkies and Easter Eggers as "rare" breeds.

I know but this is today's price. Most breeders I know sell chicks for around $50-$75.

I can tell you their customer service doesn't even exist!, this place doesn't care about getting your business! I wrote to them twice for a question I had on a order, and if you call them its nothing but a answering machine that says "email us" not until I wrote and told them to cancel my order did I get a response, and that even seemed like it was automated! They don't care plain and simple, I canceled my order and ordered my birds from Cackle Hatchery, decent prices and very prompt responses, through chat even. DO NOT buy from California Hatchery if you expect any interaction.

Ordered on March 3rd, received confirmation email. Email stated I would receive an email in 72 hours with the delivery date. Not another word or email. Emailed them, called them repeatedly. No response until I posted to the Better Business Bureau. Money refunded. Bad way to do business. =-/

Will NEVER use them again! I ordered 6 Easter Eggers and 6 Barred Rock. I received 5 Easter Eggers and 7 Barred Rock. 1 Easter Egger has wry neck. 1 Barred Rock died next day. They never answer the phone and did not respond to 3 emails. And, you are led yo believe they come from CA but ours shipped from Cleveland. Very dishonest business.
