California quails safety

I raise a lot of Valley's. I've had a few get out now and again and I've come to the conclusion that its VERY hard to capture them. I usually just consider it a lost. However, they to tend to stick around for a while. Just like what Ntsees said in her post, the best time to catch them is to stalk and see where it roosts for the night and try to catch it after it gets dark. I usually go out at 2am to catch my adults for my clients. I found out that its better to catch them early in the AM.

If you search on google you can find a lot of places that will ship live meal worms. I've seen a few posts on here about growing your own once you have some to start with but it seems like it takes quite a while to get a colony going. http://www.rainbowmealworms.net/shop-mealworms/
