California sunset over my coop

Almost finished with my beach chicken coop. I've still got to attack the lay box on the far left. We've got 3 chickens 2 white leghorn (had 3) but one turned out to be a Roo. They are 10 weeks old. And we are introducing (not fun) an 8 week old red Sexlink. The white don't really pick on her just ignore her. Hopefully she'll get into the routine. As it pains my pregnant wife to see her all alone. Quick question for y'all I'd like to keep they're food out side (next to the coop) right now I've got it in Home Depot buckets tight seal. Is it ok in them or should I find food grade buckets? Thoughts???

Outside food storage should be fine as long as it is sealed so that bugs, mice, and rain cannot get inside. Adding a solid boards over some or most of the run top will give your birds great shade. Good Luck!
