Pics
My girls are nuts. There are 11 of them that have 4 boxes and they all use one. The others have one or 2 boxes and they will use both in the 2 box coops. Not these big suckers. They fight over the one.

That second coop is really cute. It's one of the ones I like the best, but it would have to have some ventilation added. I don't see any on that one, but not hard to add.

Duh it has plenty. Missed that pic. LOL

I almost missed those pics too lol. How hot does it get in the summer where you live? Over here I had to have a coop made all out of hardware cloth because it gets to around 110 in the summer. Yikes!

Gets that hot here too but was more like 104 this summer. Winter is cold and wet though. I think we got down to 28 this year. I lost some birds in the cold and in the heat. I guess with some it doesn't matter what you do, you can still lose some.

Went out to feed everyone and look at what I needed to spray down and see how much Oxine I should mix up and my grand daughter's rabbit is missing. My daughter got him for her just before my husband died and after his fit of yet another type of animal, he helped me work on the hutch that we never got to finish. He was in a 8 hole cage with some of the others and was out on the back porch this morning. I put him back and whe I went back out after taking Makayla to school he was gone. I've been out searching the yard and the neighborhood. Usually when they get out I find them right away, but I don't even see how he could have gotten out unless is was in the alley. I did hear the neighbors 3 Beagles sound, but her husband said there was no way for a rabbit to get in. I sure how not. My baby is going to be heartbroken.

OK back to work.

Best wishes for a speedy return home. Even domestic bunnies are pretty tough for their size.

Let us know if you find him. Poor Kayla has lost too many animals!

BTW I couldn't pull up pic #6 & 7. It says sorry page not found. Anyway I think any of them would be fine except the one with the steep roof that has the nest box hatch lid to close to the eaves. It looks like it doesn't open very far unless it's hinged in the middle and then you would have to lean down to reach in. Plus it looks tall and narrow. It probably extends well into the coop but then the problem of having to reach way in would be even worse.

If I had to pick a favorite it would be #1 cause it looks like it would be easy to clean and you know how lazy I am!

I could not view the last two picks either.
My pheasants were laying eggs in the darnest places this year and I devoloped one of my "grapes of wrath" handy gadgets for getting them. I duck taped a small aquarium fish net to the end of an old broom stick. I have used it for more things than I can count. LOL.
As far as the cold here goes I bought a used 4 ft brooder heater and mounted it in my chicken coop. I plan on trying it on the below freezing nites. Its set up with an adjustment diaphram just like an incubator. Im thinking that I should be able to adjust it to come on and off at an appropriate temp. The other plus is it has a lite on it so I could use that to extend the egg season. Ill let you know how it works as we get tp the colder weather!

Yea, they are cute too! Any one of them would work. I'd go with the easiest one.

Poor Easter! I sure hope you find him! How'd Kayla take the bad news? Give her a hug from me!
