CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

I woke up early and thought I'd check to see if BYC was back yet and was so excited that I jumped out of bed, ran upstairs for my laptop, put some coffee on, came back to bed with

and now just playing around, seeing who else is up!

Good morning!

Okie Dokie!

Anyone else want chicks? I'll have a few left.
I do, I do! But I don't know if I'll be able to make it to Stockton because I still don't have my schedule for my surgery. If I haven't had surgery, I'd love to go and bring home some Marans.

After BYC being down for a day as was looking around elsewhere and I found some 6 week old Ameracaunas, all pullets, from a lady I gave my goats to. I'm trying to figure out if I want more AM's, because I really want the Marans and of course I'll be starting the Polish this year.....what to do, what to do....what do you have left in Marans? Did Sunny take all the lavender?

Stromberg's has SQ Dorking chicks from Duane Urch. (SHHHH!) That's the strain that I want. They are expensive. I wish I could find someone to split the order. I'm already splitting a MM order with Ron, too.

Hi Kim,

Stromberg sell SG Dorking hatching eggs. You could buy some and have me hatch them for you

No the Lavenders will be this years project. None on the ground yet and they will be F1s. The chicks I have now are from my EE hen Big Bird. She's a splash, and either my FBCM roo or one of the AMs. The hen lays pink eggs so I don't know if green will show up or if they'll be brown. Big bird does have a pea comb. OH WAIT! The baby dad IS my FBCM. These all have a single comb. Why didn't I notice that before? Man, Harley really gets around out there! They are all feathering in sort of partridge, but they get really cool looking golden hackle feathers and some will have gold spashing throught the partridge.

I do have Maranas in the bator and more on the way. They are all FBCM. I'll be working on getting the first Lavenders in probably a month or so. I hope. They are a project, so remember just F1s, first generation.

What I'd really like from them is more Cubas. Car is costing me money I don't have right now, so let me see how much in the hole I am after it's done. Supposed to get it back tomorrow and then I want to drive it a while to make sure I don't need something else done. Once I do get it fixed I think I'm going out to the Bay Area and look at Accords. Thats what I had intended to get when I bought this one.

She won't have any for sale for awhile since this is a new project but I think I'm first on the list when she does.

May take a couple years though.

This website looks so foreign to me! Lol
You know what I would do, BigDaddysMom, I would have ALL THREE kinds. Yep. ;) I loved my Ameraucanas (I sold them but I love em so much I still stare at all their pics and put em on my avatar) because they were the friendliest birds I've ever met. The Marans look beautiful, too, and those Polish...well, they look awesome as well. Just enabling, hehe.

Depending on how many I hatch out and if you want to work on them, I may have enough of the first ones to share. Just kind of depends.
