California White

I bought 2 California White chicks at Wilco last week. Neither have black spots. Do all CA whites have them? Or are these not CA whites? I also bought white leghorns and they all look exactly the same.

Not all of them do. I raised a batch a while back and perhaps only 1/2 had the spotting. Interestingly the personality was what set them apart. Far less flighty than pure Leghorns.

Thank you! Do you know if they can develop spots as they get older? I got the last two CA whites, I bet the spotted ones were picked out first.

The ones I worked with didn't, no. A few black ticks here and there, but no real spotting showed up.
