Hello all. New to BYC forums... I have been using this website for over a year when I have duck troubles and finally decided to join up. The reason for joining is.... I have 4 14 month old ducks... a drake(white crested) and 3 hens ( white crested) & 2 (black Swedish)... Both the swedish hens have gone broody 2x this year and both times have failed to hatch. :'( my question is why? does anyone know? Im going gaga for baby duckling!!!!!!!!

Are you sure the eggs were fertile? Some breeds don't make the best broodies and can quit halfway.

To be honest... I am not sure if the eggs where fertile. There is a Drake so they should have been unless he isnt doing his job right. lol (he is a white crested and is a bit slow) Thanks for the reply.
