Call back pen?

Will chicks respond like quail to a call back pen? I want to let cornish cross out, (3 wks) but want them back

Well, I don't know a thing about quail.

Chickens will return to the coop at night, even from free ranging, once they have learned that it is "home." But young chicks that have not been out or accustomed to a coop will just wander, eventually probably finding a place to hide.
