I have a call duck who has been setting on five eggs. They are rotten and need to be tossed. What is the best and least tramatic way to take them and have her get back to normal?

Are you sure there all rotted? Some times one will smell. I think ducks take 26 days if I'm not mistaken. I'de candle them before tossing.

We refill the "duck pool", this is the time she will usually go for a quick swim. Once she is off the eggs, we go in a grab them up. It is easier than having to move her off the nest.

Uh cuz she was on them when I checked them. This is why answering a question with a question is normally considered rude. Anyway, I will have the wife and kids watch for her to get off the eggs and go get them.

There's really no 'least tramatic' way of taking the eggs away from her. If you leave more, even wooden or plastic ones, it'd just be toying with her. I'd go ahead and take them away. I had a broody chicken that I took the chicks away from to raise myself and she was looking around the whole day but the next day she was fine again. By the time I brought her back with the flock, she had let go.
