Only for those of us who have no clue
I wasn’t sure if the colors on Calls was something fancy since I remember a color called apricot? I see the bibs but maybe it was called dark chocolate with vanilla frosting?

I had Miss Lydia ask the question since I have trouble posting anything on here. I am new to Calls and my two Mallard looking ones I think were called Grays. I did not know if the Call ducks were just a small version of the bigger ducks or not. My little two looked like Mallards and so I thought it was like dogs, Mini Pin, Mini Poodle, Mini Mallard???? I guess maybe they are a breed to themselves and not just bred to be the littles???

A bit of both, actually. Originally bred to be small, they became a breed.

Thanks so much, I thought that they resembled the bigger ducks so much and that is what made me think they were the mini versions. That makes perfect sense to me and here I thought I was going crazy!!! lol

So, if they mate with my big ducks will the babies be smaller since they are so little or the size of the Momma Hen I wonder.
