These 3 were hatched May of last year-They are far from SQ but are my favorite buddies and dont care about quality:)
NO eggs
all 3 are buddies to the end
I see them trying to mate eachother all the time
Last year they all had the curled featherss in their tails that told me ALL boys

Now Only "Muffin" has the curled feathers??? See for yourselves-could them molting eliminate those curled feathers??? I think they are just coming out of molt as I have been finding more than the usual amount of feathers in their pen.

Oh Lordie I knew someone would ask me that-Ok here's the scoop-I have a slight hearing issue..So I can't tell They seem raspy quacky-I guess more raspy-I have never been able to sex ducks that way

If they're just coming out of a molt their curls probably just haven't grown back in yet. That's about the last thing to grow back on mine.

I am guessing boys then and that their curlies will be coming back after their molt.

I am not kidding on the quack - my calls are a mixed mutt call ducks and the girls are SO noisy their quacks can be heard in the house

(yours are much more "call" than mine)

Hmm These aren't loud at all- all though they TALk alot haha--they are the cutest bunch of monsters-these guys flew on me this November-Couldnt find them for 2 days then spotted them on the pond next to me and them took 8 days to get them trapped and back home! They are lucky nothing ate them-Had to go to the pond 2-3 times a day to food out for them since the pond was frozen over and all that was there was a spot that hadnt froze up yet about a 4 ft cirlce under a brokewn down boat house-yah their wings are getting clipped shortly!!!

If you ducks just molted, the curled tail feather has not grown back in yet. If is was curled last year, it will be curled this year too. Call duck drakes can regrow a damaged winky, but they can't change their gender, without plastic surgery.lol
We have some drakes that are slow to refeather out when molting but they always get the Drake feather back.
