Has anyone ever had fertile eggs in the Fall?

I have BEI hatched from this Spring, and one pair of Whites that are laying now.

When I let them out in the mornings to the "pond" it's like a Roman orgy in there!

It's enough to make an old lady blush!

I have nine eggs right now. I hate to have to find a broody hen if they are not going to be fertile.

LOL, yes I have definitely gotten fertile eggs in the Fall. Fertility seems to be lowest like in the worst of the heat in the middle to end of Summer (for us anyway), but it seems to begin to rise again in the Fall (although, not nearly as high as in the Spring). It just all depends on the year and the individual birds. I set a bunch of bantam duck eggs here about 6 weeks ago and not a single one was fertile. I will probably try again though since I didn't hatch enough hens this year in some breeds.

If it is fairly easy to try it, I would say give it a shot and see what happens.
