Call duck newbie

Hi! i adopted three calls ducks about a month ago. i knew they were going to be noisy and loud, but i feel like they are extra loud.. maybe unhappy? i try to give them fresh vegetables and treats and they never want them. all they will eat is there duck feed, corn and grit. everything else is a no. what works best for your ducks? what can i do for them or feed them? our pekins love us when we give them treats and the call ducks are the total opposite. any recommendations?

Call ducks are known for being fairly loud, every duck is different, i personally find they like oats a lot, try giving them that. hope this helped!

Yes, I did expect that. I just think i’m over worrying, but thank you!! I will definitely try that.

Dont worry, i overworry a lot! Our rooster constantly crows here, even though we Are aloud to have them, im always worried our neighbors are going to get upset! but they never are, and say its perfectly fine.

I recently adopted three calls too! Mine girls are very loud lol. The boy had a adorable little frog croak. I would guess they are just loud. Mine are and I don’t know why they wouldn’t be happy?

Aw that’s awesome! I do agree. Our girls are very noisy compared to our boy. I’m just a worrier and trying to figure out what to do to make them happy and want to be around us more. My pekins are just so much easier. I am able to give them treats and then they what’s to follow me around and let me pet them haha. My call ducks would prefer to not be bothered with!
