I have 1 pair of snowy calls I got from an auction, The female up till the last week was laying 1 egg a WEEK Ok I figured she was probly old why they got rid of her then, No problem, Now im getting 1 egg a day and I been putting some grass and stuff (the long ones, weeds) in their for them to eat (they love it!) normally its all gone by the next morning, but today.... She PUT it all in her nest! Like litterally lined it up on one side of the nest. Is she gonna go broody?? Should I put more hay in their for her to play with with the nest? The nest is also one of those large deep Frying pan lids, I was using a bucket (havnt built a nest box yet) but she would never go in it would lay her eggs on the outside, Another question is I got 3 bantam chicken eggs in the nest I was using to get her to use the new nest (about a week old or so old) How many eggs will she lay before setting? should I take the bantam eggs out?
