1. Where can I buy call ducks?
2. Will they be ok with a pond that has koi fish in it?
3. Do they get along with silkie chickens?

Oh and does duck poop stink the same as chicken poo? Wondering how close to the house I should put the pond...

1. Where can I buy call ducks? We have plenty of breeders on here.
2. Will they be ok with a pond that has koi fish in it? Larger Koi should be fine but smaller ones can be in harms way.
3. Do they get along with silkie chickens? People mix ducks and chickens all the time. It varies on the individual birds.

It smells worse.

So should I make a thread asking who has them for sale?
My koi are about seven inches long.
I can put in a pond farther away from the house.

There is a Buy Sell Trade forum for Other Poultry (if I remember the titles correctly), and that is where you would find those with calls for sale. What do you like most about what you have learned about calls? Do you have particular colors in mind?

I have runners and a buff, and I think calls are the cutest little things

No that would just get the thread locked. You can put a ad out in Buy Sell Trade once you have 20 posts.

I don't think those should have a problem with them being calls.

Ok I will search for that buy /sale thing in a bit.
I love how little and adorable they are and thought they would fit in better with my silkies.
They are also hard to find around here ( Texas) so if I ever have too many I do not think it would be hard to sell the extra ones. Well I say they are hard to find...for me.

Which part of Texas are you in? I'm in Waco. There's quite a few breeder birds near Kempner.

Lock the thread....have to have 20 post..I am new to this. I have never posted on a web site. Lol Go ahead laugh. So if you have too many people respond it locks the thread? 20 post on backyard chickens before you can place an ad, do you mean I have to comment 20 times. Umkay I'm going to stop typing now lol.

Locking the thread means no one will be able to respond. Ads are prohibited outside of the BST section.

It means you need 20 posts on BackyardChickens before you can place a ad in the BST section
