Call Duck

Would one male call duck do ok by himself with the chickens? I want to get a male because I heard they are quiet and only one if that would be ok. He would be in with my 5 serama chickens.

I would get a another male as a companion for him. Ducks like to be with their own kind.

If kept with the Serema chickens, there's also a possibility of the Call drake trying to mate with the chickens and injuring them in the process...

I mean you can house chickens and ducks together I've done it in a pinch or if I'm doing repairs on a pen I've just thrown the ducks into a chicken pen, but its definately not ideal. Calls in general are NOT quiet by any means no matter what gender. Drakes are though quieter and if you have a pair you will definately hear the female over the male. If you want a quiet bantam duck I would suggest Mallards.
