Call Duckling advise

The brooder is the cage. You will need a heat lamp. I've never heard of using a heating pad.

Ok well I have a brooder he just gets lonely and I want to be with him all the time. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep him warm while not in the brooder?

Mine used to come and sit on me when it got cold; would fall asleep under my chin :D
Other than that make sure they're as active as you can get them - in the wild ducklings are on the go from the minute they leave the nest!

If you poach another duckling from mum and use as company for the lone one - it will warm to you quite quickly as it will take the lead from its little sibling.
It won't imprint but after a while you'll barely notice the difference between their behaviour towards you.

I vote grab her a friend!

Get her to eat by offering wet chick feed (unmedicated) and always have a water dish so she doesn't choke.

Tap your finger into the food whilst making encouraging sounds. Pick some food up and put it to her beak if she's stubborn!
She will get it once shown - ducks are naturally inquisitive

Ok i grabbed her a friend but she is peeping like CRAZY!!!!

and my family wont tolerate that so I need to find a solution and fast!
