Last year i bred my call ducks, it took me a large about of time and i put my heart and soul into trying to hatch these eggs, three hatched and grew up, but now they are all dead. Could they have been inbred?? one died of an accident when our pond wasnt fully frozen so he drowned. I also had a hen that stopped walking for a day and i went to check her and she was full of worms and magots? We gave her a bath with shampoo that killed them but she died anyways. Finally last week my favorite one died too!? i found her at the way far end of their pen? Does anyone have any ideas what could be happening? Should i try to hatch more eggs out of the origanal pair? or should i just start over?

Its possible that they were inbred but i don't know how it relates to them dying seeing as they all sound to be accidents-->injury's of different sorts.

Doesn't sound like a genetic issue.
Just like KansasKid said-their deaths were not related to their gene pool.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.
