At day 23 I thought what I saw was internal pipping, so yesterday I put in safety holes in two of the eggs as I had read. My incubator is set up in a way that I can put my hand and a small flashlight in the incubator to take a peek through an access hole without dropping humidity. I don't think what I am seeing is internal pipping. It looks like the membrane is separating from the shell and the whole "bag" is going up into the air sac. I am only used to seeing chicks with a visible beak when they internally pip. So is this shadowing normal or what should I do? Humidity is currently 70% for lockdown and I was going by air sac size for humidity during incubation, generally about 25-40%
