I’m outside cutting the neighbors stupid forsythia back because it grows into my property and Bentely is out off leash wandering around. Well he got close to Wendy and she started to puff out like an upset broody hen, Bentely got he point and backed off. I hope next time she will give him a good peck.

Would be nice if your chickens teach him that lesson. He won't forget that one.

After putting up with Leila the chickens pecked little George when he tried to play with them. Lesson learned. He only goes near them now to get a sip of water when we are outside. Poor pup is spoiled.

It's hatching day for my seramas~! 2 of the 13 didn't even have yolks in them and 1 died after hatching, But the rest (All 9) Are looking pretty healthy~ I consider that a pretty good hatch.. And the chick are sooo small I still can't get over it. I think once all of my serama hens start laying again i'm going to start selling their eggs or hatch out some chicks to sell..

I've also got a broody hen that had 5 eggs under her. 3 of the 5 hatched out, 2 I think are EEs and the yellow one must be a white rock x brahma.. They just hatched yesterday as well

(I'll have to get some clearer pics of the seramas later once the broodies are off of their nests)

(The second EE refused to come out from under mama so I had to take her out for a pic)

And to give you an idea on how small the seramas are I took some pictures of one of my seramas and one of the EEs together (Note that they are both the same age)

Why are there little glass stones in with the chicks?

Adorable photos!

To draw their attention to peck at the food I scatter and not each other. I still saw a few toe pulls and eye peck attempts, but hopefully it cuts down on that stuff.
