I'm torn about getting rid of these Chicks. I don't need them at all...:barnie...Seriously thinking about not having so many Chickens and putting my Ducks in my Coop...:th...Help please...:idunno
I finally remembered I didn't want more ducks, thankfully my drake isn't doing his job. I will stick with chickens you can stick with ducks. But really it's a hard thing to say no more of any species, and even harder to follow through. It's a very personal decision.

I'm thinking of only keeping 4 Chickens and moving them to another Coop...?
So do that. Keep Lester and your 3 favorite hens and sell the rest.
Hey, so I've got some good news and bad news, Yesterday when I went out to let everyone out of their coops I had noticed that none of my serama roosters were crowing (Which they always do in the morning) So I went to let them out.. All of them had been killed, All but 2 older seramas.. The rest including the 11 chicks were all dead, Either half eaten or with their heads torn off. I think I balled for at least an hour or so? I managed to save the eggs that were under one of my broody seramas and 1 hatched out.. So now all I have are 2 adult seramas and 1 chick. After a while of trying to calm down I managed to contact the person who I got the seramas from, She said that she had 4 hens and 1 rooster she could sell me for $50. So i'm going to go and pick them up at around 11:00
During all of that I decided to go on craigslist to see if anyone else near me was selling seramas, Unfortunately no one close to me was But I did fine another ad that caught my eye.. A Jersey heifer that's due to have a calf on August the 8th.. I bought it. The guy's going to drop her off as soon as I finish her pen and put up the fencing.. I can't wait to go back to having raw milk instead of the store bought kind :wee
Oh no! That’s terrible Jaimie. I’m so sorry about that. :hugs
Congrats on the calf though.
My Son had me laughing...He does landscaping and they are at a Botanical Garden..A Canada Goose Gander chased him about 10 feet away from the goslings ...:gig...He yelled at the Goose..My Mom has Ducks so don't think you scare me!...All his group laughed their heads off...:lau
:gig

Are you sitting down Shannon. I don't want you to die from the cuteness. Your Bunny Sherbert was on the chair today with a sibling. Hold on, here comes the cuteness......oh I see Rosie speaking through the chair too...

I'm in the same boat kinda, I've decided many things I keep now I won't get more of or make more of. I still enjoy messing around with my chickens and will do so for a few more years before downsizing. Most other critters will be allowed to dwindle though the thought of selling sounds nice some day.

If you don't have a pen for these chicks than maybe you should let them go. You can always make more? I think you would be happier with less chickens for sure, but finding good homes you are comfortable with isn't always easy. Keep pondering until you know for sure.

I like the name Sherbert. It fits him. :) One of the other buffs who's a boy will be named Ernie, so they will be Bert and Ernie. Maybe they will all get Sesame Street names in honor of your Pajamas. :clap

hey all~ just got back from picking up my seramas and honestly, I'm so happy with these guys. The rooster is gorgeous and has the perfect stance~ The hens not so much but honestly I don't care. She gave me 2 extra serama chicks just because she felt bad.. She was super nice about everything. She also had some call ducks she didn't want so she said I could take them if I want, Which I did.. Here are some pictures of everyone~
