My wife surprised me today for my birthday. We went to the gun show and was looking for a gun but did not find what I wanted. Went to eat seafood then went skating with our kids and my niece that lives in the town we was in. We all had a blast but are tired now.

All of my silkies turned out to be cockerels. I’m kinda upset about that Mom doesn’t want them because they’re boys. 3 of them, too. Someone else bought silkies from the same breeder and all 6 of hers were boys
I payed $20 each (originally $30 each) for them. They will be $20 each or $15 for all as I prefer they stay together. I will keep them a few more weeks to be sure. Although they look pretty roo-like to me.

I know... I should learn to never buy straight run chicks. With my luck they’re always boys! I’ll try to get some silkie pullets later this spring, but I’m kind of disappointed and I think I’ll wait on that for a while.

I definitely will have Cockerels and maybe one Pullet? Oh well I sell them.

My old lady friend told me to remove my eggs now before it gets dark and leave her the 4 and any new hatchlings to put them under her once dry...
