I assisted by chipping a tiny hole in the air cell and a huge part fell off so then I had to Vaseline the membrane and wrapped plastic wrap over the exposed membrane to keep it moist. :barnie..I hate hard hatches like this..:th
It's peeping although still absorbing the yolk. I can't assist too soon or it will bleed out..:hit

:hugs it should be fine :fl Maybe it will hurry up and absorb the yolk :fl
 
Most likely. Reese’s (one of my chicks) pipped late at night and hatched at around 11:00am the next morning :)
The problem with this egg was the shell was so hard it shattered when I tried putting just a tiny hole in it for more air. I don't think it would of externally pipped if I didn't assist it. That's why I contacted Natalie because she definitely has experience with assisted Chick hatches. I'm more comfortable doing Ducks.

You might have to help it zip a little. Just make sure it has absorbed the yolk
