Ruby is probably one of my favorite chickens that I own. I’m very glad I kept him. And now he has silkie pullets of his own!

They should make pretty babies soon..

So my Brahma mix is an awful broody! I tested her with chicken eggs and she pushes them out from under her! I will break her and just incubate duck eggs

I don’t know if I want to let the quail hatch first or not though... that’s what gets me. I’ll think on it.

I put the eggs in the nesting box
She sets on them for a few minutes
Then she uses her head and pushes them out from underneath her.

That’s what I meant.

Yeah I’m just going to let the quail hatch first. It’ll be better timing I think.
