right now i only have three hens and two roos. the one roo stays by hisself. Fancy isnt laying fertile eggs bc i have her in a separate coop. she only just started laying again. the mottled hen thats laying isnt getting fertilized well? so i havent been getting anything to hatch. we want to be able to hatch to sell and for freezer camp..... but i want a colorful egg basket. we go through eggs here fairly well. i use the duck eggs for baking and we cook with eggs or scramble them a lot. i dont like having to buy them when i have birds that should be laying.

Here we don't eat lots of eggs and I hate just giving them away too..I don't need many hens.
