So I got home and my son comes up to my car bawling that Stumpy (the other leghorn that is eggbound) is dead in the yard. I walked over to her and she popped right up. I looked at her vent and she had half a broken egg sticking out of her vent. So I brought her in and soaked her butt in warm water and then gently worked the egg shell out. I cleaned her up and gave her some more calcium gluconate and she is by the heat now relaxing. She did eat a little and drink a little. I don't expect her to make it, but here is a pic of the egg that I pulled out of her:

It's crazy that I've had 2 girls get eggbound in a week. They eat layer pellets and have oyster shell on the side.

Almost like a lash egg..Do you give lots of snack food? How old are they?

They get tomatoes maybe twice month. They eat their layer feed and free range. When I adopted them September 2018 the lady said they were 18 months old.
I don't like giving to many treats or snack food for 2 reasons. 1. they were already being fed all kinds of crap before I got them. 2. I'm cheap. I get a container of tomatoes once or twice a month and give them that (the ducks eat more than the chickens do though) I don't know what's going on.

Well I’m not going to yap because I don’t want to upset anyone. Bumble foot can be gout too caused from improper treats too high in protein.
